 ROGERS Cellular Network

Rogers Cellular Network
Certified Tracking Solutions utilizes the worldwide standard General Packet Radio Service (GPRS) wireless technology which is a network that is an "always on", private network for data. It uses the existing GSM network to transmit and receive IP based data to and from the GPS Tracking System.

Private IP addresses are typically dynamically assigned within the network to mobile devices on a VPN connection. However, Certified Tracking Solutions strong partnership has enabled use the use of a dedicated Access Point Names (APN's) which provides a gateway route to the MDS system and most importantly is isolate from the public network data channels.

Rogers is the only Canadian wireless carrier to operate on the world-standard GSM (Global System for Mobile communications) platform. At the end of 2007 the number of GSM subscriber connections was over 3 billion.
